Approvals

The core functionality of SwipeFlow is the approval process, which uses a simple swipe interface to make decisions quickly and efficiently.

Items are presented to reviewers who can swipe right to approve or left to reject. The approval process follows these steps:

  1. Item submission. Items are added to the project for review, either manually or through integrations.
  2. Reviewer assignment. Items are assigned to reviewers based on the workflow configuration.
  3. Review. Reviewers swipe right to approve or left to reject items. They can also add comments.
  4. Multi-stage approval. If configured, items move through multiple approval stages.
  5. Final status. Items are marked as approved or rejected based on the workflow rules.
  6. Notifications. Stakeholders are notified of the outcome.

You can customize the approval process with various settings:

  • Required approvers: set the minimum number of approvals needed.
  • Sequential vs. parallel: choose whether approvals happen in sequence or simultaneously.
  • Rejection handling: configure what happens when an item is rejected.
  • Deadlines: set time limits for each approval stage.
  • Auto-approval rules: define conditions for automatic approvals.
  • Comment requirements: require comments for rejections or all decisions.
